PACIFIC COAST SCENIC BYWAY - HWY 101

project date: 1999 | by peter reedijk

The Oregon Department of Transportation developed a number of sites along Oregon Highway 101 to provide visitors with information about local attractions, nearby sightseeing opportunities, and places to camp. Each site offers interpretation about the natural and cultural history of the area. Winchester Bay Wayfinding Point was the first in this series, installed January 1996.

After designing and producing the first wayfinding site, Sea Reach was subsequently contracted to plan, design, fabricate and install three more sites along the Oregon coast: Port Orford, Neskowin, and Manzanita.
